Author's Note
Beethoven was baptised on Dec 17th, 1770 so it's generally thought that he was born on the 16th. That's certainly the day that Schroeder celebrated. Earlier this year the Argonne National Laboratory used the most powerful X-Ray beam in the Western hemisphere to confirm that Beethoven did indeed die from lead poisoning.
